The Sunbeam Alpine is an iconic two-seater sports roadster/drophead coupé that was produced by the Rootes Group from 1953 to 1955, and then 1959 to 1968.
Driven by a variety of stars ranging from Elizabeth Taylor to James Bond.
The Series V 1965–68
The final version was fitted a new five-bearing 1,725 cc (105.3 cu in) engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg semi-downdraught carburettors producing 93 bhp. There was no longer an automatic transmission option. 19,122 were made.
1967, the year of production of this particular example was eventful:
Milton Keynes is founded as a new town, with a planning brief to become a city of 250,000 people, who’s main source of joy was its prolific endowment of roundabouts. The initial designated area enclosed three existing towns and twenty one villages. “Puppet on a String” by Sandie Shaw won the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom, and apparently the fact that she was barefoot was a landmark event. Claims that the smell overpowered the judges are entirely unfounded.

Named after prestigious Alpine rally, the final Series 5 version has a final five-bearing 1,725 cc (105.3 cu in) engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg semi-downdraught carburettors producing 93 bhp, mated to the 4 speed manual all synchromesh gear box.
The GT is fitted with the removable hardtop and runs on the original factory steel rims with chrome hubcaps. This particular example is also fitted with a contemporary tow bar and its original veneer dashboard and red interior with 2 + 2 rear seats. The chassis is an excellent condition and has been rust protected by its previous owner.
The vehicles supplied with its V5 and is registered and a historic vehicle and so it ULEZ and tax exempt.
The vehicle starts on the button and has recently benefited from a brake overhaul. It is supplied with a spare set of keys and a book recounting the history of the model, as well as a selection of invoices for parts and repairs.
